Lee Sturtevant was a scholarship art student at Georgetown College, graduated from the University of Louisville, and continued her art studies at Nashville’s Watkins Institute and Tennessee State University. She was a successful exhibitor in Nashville’s Iroquois Steeplechase’s “Art of Racing”, and was twice “Best of Show” in Nashville’s PBS fundraiser. Ambiance Fine Arts and Local Color Gallery represented Lee in Nashville.

Among donations, her 2006 painting at Calumet Farm for the Woodford County Humane Society was chosen in the top five and featured in the September issue of Kentucky Home and Gardens Magazine. In 2007, her painting “Station Break” toured nationally in Cross Gate Gallery’s “Master of the Foxhounds Association of North America” centennial art exhibition.

Selected to paint a horse for Lexington’s 2010 Horse Mania, her horse was sponsored by Rood and Riddle Equine Hospital, who also commissioned her to paint eight wine glasses depicting each of the events for the World Equestrian Games. Lee has shown with the American Academy of Equine Artthree times, and her art is on display at her studio/gallery in Victorian Square’s “Artist Attic.”
