My name is Sally Angela Schlegel and I am a 23 year old equestrian and spirit artist. Art is my passion. I started painting when I was old enough to hold a paintbrush. To give you a glimpse of my creative process, I am spontaneous when I paint or draw. Anytime I begin an art project I always say a prayer and ask God for a vision. After all, it's not me painting at all, simply God using me to channel his creative power. All my paintings are created somewhere between fifteen minutes to a few hours. Rarely will I work on the same project for months. My reasoning for this is I try to capture "the moment" or the emotion that I am feeling. And for the viewer to feel the intensity of the piece. Art has been very healing to my soul and I hope my work touches the hearts of those who see it. I do aura paintings for animals and pets of all kinds. I also paint guardian angels and totem animals for clients. To put it simply, I paint what I see and it varies person to person. I sincerely want God's unconditional love to radiate from anything I paint or draw. An example is a guardian angel commission painting I did for a client. She has wings of a Hawk (hawks symbolize looking for a message/direction/focus) with an ocean behind her, signifying that she needs to allow her emotions to flow with life and to stop resisting. When we resist or push, we miss out on what God has for us in the here and now. Within the same work, the season is spring, symbolizing growth, and the sun is setting on old ideas. The deer symbolize spirituality and adventure while the ravens are mysterious and magical. So we do not focus on what is seen, but on what is unseen. For what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.
