Art Gala
A selection of video artworks from the Collection of Laura Lee Brown and Steve Wilson, 21c Museum Hotel, were among several interactive contemporary artworks featured at the Lexington Art League's Art Gala, January 17, 2015 from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m. at the Loudoun House. Pure elegance met playful exploration at Art Gala, which kicked off 2015 in style with hors d'oeuvres, wine, and cocktails by Pure Appetit, beer by West Sixth Brewery, and live music by The Swells.
Art Gala guests were delighted by the transformation of the Loudoun House, which featured custom-built walls and radically redesigned exhibition spaces, creating a one-of- a-kind experience that encourages interaction, exploration, and play. Featured works included video installations from the Collection of Laura Lee Brown and Steve Wilson, 21c Museum Hotel, an interactive drawing room by international artist collective Expanded Draught, and soft sculpture installations by Kentucky artist Melissa Vandenberg.
