Artist Opportunities
Our Opportunities
The Lexington Art League's dedication to providing opportunities for artists reflects its current mission statement dedicated to supporting local and regional art. Some of our calls for art are limited to monthly and annual members of the Lexington Art League. Through monetary support these members also keep each exhibition and event free and open to the public.

2022 PRHBTN ExhibitionPRHBTN and The Lexington Art League are seeking submissions for the 2022 PRHBTN Exhibition, a radically inclusive salon style exhibition in celebration of Kentucky visual artists. This exhibition is produced in tandem with the 11th annual PRHBTN mural festival that enlivens our community with new public murals in Lexington each fall.
Artist and Curator Opportunities - Call For ExhibitionsWe accept proposals for solo and group exhibitions by artists and curators of local artwork in the greater Lexington area for 2023 for our individual galleries. Proposals will be accepted by KY visual artists who are current members of the Lexington Art League. Current Lexington Art League membership is required for exhibition proposals to be considered.

2022 Lexington Art League Members' BiennialThe Lexington Art League Members’ Biennial is a biennial exhibition of art that has been created by our members. Every two years we take the opportunity to highlight our creative and talented members with an exhibition which takes over all of the exhibition space in the historic Loudoun House. The League was founded in 1957 as a member-driven organization and we are continuing this tradition 65 years later. If you are a member and you make art, this is your chance to share it with all of us. The goal is to stuff the galleries to the gunwales with art in a celebration of our creative members.
Gift Shop - Call for ConsignmentsThe Lexington Art League has launched its first ever permanent Local Art Store. The store will occupy the prominent Woolfolk Gallery on the main level of the historic Loudoun House and will be open to the public during all exhibition receptions and gallery hours, which are always free to attend.
Alternative Project Space Proposal - Call to ArtistsThe Lexington Art League has occupied the historic and dynamic Loudoun House since 1984. In step with our renewed mission to serve local artists, we have identified new opportunities for local artists to activate a couple of our smaller, more intimate, and underutilized alternative spaces of the Loudoun House - the tower, and the back staircase landing toward the attic.
