These pieces are an exploration, in form, of the subconscious creation process. Each piece was created by responding to the material and allowing the shape of the object to be dictated by its tone. These sculptures are manifestations of the guiding forces throughout life, and were created with the intent of self-reflection. The ambiguity of the imagery is intended to allow the viewer to place the works within their own individual experiences. In engaging with the work the viewer is meant to be faced with the same emotions and questions as I was in the creation of these pieces; and through the process of answering those questions, find some resolution within themselves.
