EVERYTHING YOU’VE EVER DREAMED OF AND MORE
Claire Thompson
Artist Statement: EVERYTHING YOU’VE EVER DREAMED OF AND MORE combines confessional poetry and celebrity drama, mixing personal and private pain, making false idols and points of projection out of icons.
EVERYTHING YOU’VE EVER DREAMED OF AND MORE is about true love. It’s about a sweater that always fits you perfectly. It’s about slaying a dragon. It’s about the World Wide Web. It’s about growing up. It’s about the picture in your locket. It’s about someone else reading your diary. It’s about being trapped in a princess tower. It’s about extra ranch on the side. It’s about hellfire. It’s about paradise. It’s about humiliation. It’s about me. It’s about you.
