Latino Blend
Latino Art BLEND is an annual exhibition whose aim is to introduce all of Lexington’s communities to the diversity and quality of Hispanic artistic expression in our city. All visual and performing artists of Hispanic origin are invited to submit work to the exhibition, and since its inception in 2011, more than three times as many artists now participate. The audience for the exhibition has grown as well. Each year Latino Art BLEND moves to a new venue, not only to accommodate more visitors but also to expand its reach. This show is both an opportunity for Hispanic artists to exhibit their work and a chance for Lexington visitors and residents — including the artists themselves —to experience the cultural values and variety of aesthetic approaches embodied in the Latin-American community.
