Paint, Plants and Play
Nancy Ternasky
Nancy Ternasky is a watercolor artist and a lover of the natural world. She has no formal art training but relies on her innate sense of color and composition while drawing from her experience as a self taught interior decorator and graphic designer.
Nancy creates her works of art from still life and photographs, painting at a small table at the end of her kitchen. Her work has become recognizable because of her illustrative style and because she prefers to suspend the subject against the clean white of the paper. Her use of a pastel palette captures life in flowers, botanicals, and objects that evoke memories and a sense of nostalgia.
