Curatorial StatementOpening Reception Oct 18 [5-10pm]
Gallery Open from 10/18/19 and 11/8/19 Presenting the 9th Annual PRHBTN Gallery at the Lexington Art League's Loudoun House. This event emphasizes its renewed mission to support Kentucky visual artists. The event will feature artworks from over 130 Kentucky artists with pieces hung salon style on every wall in the historic Gothic Revival Mansion. At the opening reception enjoy a huge gathering of local people and artists. Food will be available from the Rise Up Pizza Food Truck and Taqueria Los Nietos, beer available from West Sixth Brewing, and other adult beverages available from Wine+Market. PRHBTN is an annual celebration of art forms that have been criminalized, marginalized, and under-appreciated in the mainstream, featuring public murals alongside an exhibition of street art works in a space that complements the raw, powerful nature of the message and artistry of each piece.
