Infiniteness & Insignificance
Shawn Marshall
Artist Statement:
“You are the intersection of infiniteness and insignificance.” ― Aditya Shukla
My artistic practice focuses on the natural world, as well as its universal meanings and experiences. I strive to create depth, atmosphere, a sense of grandeur, and mystery. This particular body of work explores our connection to the natural world at both an expansive level, with an emphasis on the horizon, and a micro level, with a focus on growth and regeneration. In both, we can understand and experience insignificance and hope at the same time.
