Art Stories
Tales of inspiration and creativity, behind-the-scenes glimpses at art-making, in-depth arts features, and narrative portraits of LAL artists.
During this time of everything being empty and closed, the outdoors is a beautiful respite from indoor life. India Leslie is from Richmond, KY and currently a Studio Art major at Eastern Kentucky University. Leslie’s art mainly consists of stylized drawings and illustrations due to her love of cartoons, anime, and any other drawn moving media. This piece serves to highlight a simple peaceful scene of a walk in the park which can be difficult for some to do with the current pandemic. Hopefully the piece will bring childlike joy and a sense of comfort, as well as a hope that we will return to our normal lives soon. Author: Aurora Noctua and India Leslie Aurora Noctua is a local artist and intern of the Lexington Art League. She is currently enrolled at the University of Kentucky pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Digital Media and Design. Website: https://noctuaartistry.wixsite.com/noctua
